Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Standwyse uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.

Effective 2026-06-01. This is a draft template and not yet legal advice; it will be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before the pilot.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use a minimal set of first-party cookies to run Standwyse and, only with your consent, to measure how the product is used. We do not use cookies for advertising.

2. Cookie categories

We group cookies into two categories. Essential cookies are always active because the Service cannot function without them. Analytics cookies require your explicit consent and are off by default.

Essential

Always on

Required for the platform to work. No consent is needed because the Service cannot be provided without them.

  • Authentication and session cookies that keep you signed in and secure your account.
  • Security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery and abuse.
  • Your cookie consent choice itself (standwyse_cookie_consent), so we can remember your preference.

Analytics

Consent required

Help us understand product usage. These are off until you opt in, and you can withdraw consent at any time below.

  • Product analytics (PostHog) that help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it.
  • These only run client-side after you opt in, and never before consent is given.

3. Manage your preferences

You can change your choice at any time. Updating your preference here takes effect immediately and is stored in a first-party cookie on your device.

Manage preferences

Essential cookies are always on because the platform cannot run without them. You can turn analytics cookies on or off at any time below.

You can also clear cookies through your browser settings. Note that removing essential cookies may sign you out or stop parts of the Service from working.

4. Server-side analytics

Some non-identifying analytics events are recorded server-side to operate and secure the Service (for example, aggregate counts of key workflow actions keyed by internal identifiers rather than by cookies). These do not rely on cookies or client-side tracking, do not require consent, and are covered by our legitimate-interest basis described in the Privacy Policy. Client-side analytics capture remains off until you consent above.

5. More information

For details on how we handle personal data, including our sub-processors and retention periods, see the Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to privacy@standwyse.com.
